**Always follow the instructions in your repair manual when doing repair or maintenance work on Outdoor Power Equipment. Manuals can be found at the manufacturers website.** When current flows through a wire and comes under the influence of resistance, there will be a voltage drop across the resistance. All connectors and wires in a circuit have resistance. The resistance found in good connectors and wires is very small and is usually insignificant when working with electrical circuits found in small engine repair. However, when a connection becomes lose, damaged or corroded, or when a wire becomes corroded or damaged, the connection or wire will produce a resistance that is higher than normal and will develop a voltage drop that will be high enough to cause problems in the circuit. The development of this high resistance makes it possible to use voltage drops to diagnose problems in a circuit. In this video I try to explain how to use voltage drops to diagnose problems found in electrical circuits. Thanks for Watching!

**Always follow the instructions in your repair manual when doing repair or maintenance work on Outdoor Power Equipment. Manuals can be found at the manufacturers website.** The subject of this video is how to change the engine oil and oil filter on a Kohler V-Twin Engine found on a Craftsman GT5000 Garden Tractor. The engine oil capacity is 1.7 – 1.9 quarts, and Kohler recommends using a multi viscosity, detergent type motor oil with a API SG rating. The Kohler OEM Oil Filter part number is 12 050 01. The engine should be cleaned and brought to operating temperature before the oil and filter is changed. If the engine can’t be cleaned, than at least clean the area of the engine involved in the oil change to prevent any dirt from entering the engine. Bringing the engine to operating temperature will help the used oil flow better and any impurities in the engine are more likely to flow out with hot engine oil. After the engine is cleaned and brought to operating temperature, than the next step is to find the oil drain plug, remove it, and let the old engine oil drain out of the engine. After all the engine oil has drained out of the engine, reinstall the drain plug. With the oil drained and the drain plug reinstalled, than find the oil filter and remove it. Not all engines found on lawn and garden tractors have a oil filter, so this step can be skipped if your engine doesn’t have a oil filter. After the oil filter is removed, than clean the oil filter adapter. Apply a light …
