A symposium of stone sculpture in Pezenas (France), July-august 2006. Twelve sculptors from India, Jamaica, Zimbabwe, Russia, Czech Republic, United Kingdom, Netherlands, Italy, Senegal and France give their own interpretation of the theme : « Messages of the body ». They are sculpting a limestone weighing a ton (1/2 cubic meter), only using hand tools. The direct carving is a spectacular and involved style.

I have been working on the shape of the thorn bush. I have been working with Serpentine for close to a year now. Using primarily hand tools. When I started with using only hand tools, I was trying to find the beginning of sculpting in stone, when no power tools existed.
