David Hakan – Home Improvement – Original Song

Here’s my foray into overdubbing on film. The synching is still getting worked out. This is a fun song that works best if you have an active imagination. Home Improvement E (rocking to A) A These old windows are needing some work. Our heating bills were a shock. EB We got the estimate on brand new ones at 320 bucks a pop. So I got some one-by-ones and a plastic sheet And I held the ladder and your thighs. There was some pounding and some stretching. We could feel the temperature rise. refrain ABE (rocking) Let’s make it at home, Darling. We’ve got the desire and the time. I know we’re out of that legal tender. AB But in that little tool belt, Lord, you look so fine. We walked down by the coffeehouse, People sipping their frappuccinos. But payday isn’t until next week. You got thirsty looking through the window. So I got the cocoa and the blender down. You decided to grind it fresh. We kept pushing those little buttons. Now we’ve got to clean up this mess. Refrain Now you know I’ve always been your handyman, On the level, square and true. I love to shower you with presents, Baby, But for now soap suds will have to do. Someday we might get us a brand new house where nothing needs a fixin’. But we’ll still want to experiment with sweet things in the kitchen. Refrain Words and music by David B.
