Rotary Club of GB Sunrise is fulfilling Rotary International mandate to Serve the Community. Rotary International is the world’s first service club organization. Its more than 1.2 million members volunteer their time around the world to further the Rotary motto, Service Above Self. The Rotary Club Of GB Sunrise Protect The Protectors program has already raised funds to purchase 80 Protective Vests for The Royal Bahamas Police Force to date with 7 days left in the program. The fund raising project is all part of Police Appreciation Week which will culminate on July 5th at the Rotary Club Of Grand Bahama Sunrise “Protect The Protectors Rib Fest” at Seahorse Plaza from 12 — 6pm with entertainment by the Royal Bahamas Police Band and demonstrations by Royal Bahamas Police and Fire Departments. The Rib tickets are being sold by members of The Rotary Club of GB Sunrise and Royal Bahamas Police Force for $12 for a delicious Rack of Ribs, Yams and Cole slaw. All of the proceeds of this event are to raise funds for purchasing protective vests for the Police force which are so desperately needed. The Rotary Club of GB Sunrise is asking the entire community to come out to Rib Fest to show support for The Royal Bahamas Police Force.
