Follow these instructions to learn how to start a Husqvarna backpack blower. First, push the purge bulb until fuel flows into the clear tube. When the engine is cold, close the choke. Next set the throttle lever to about 1/3 open. Hold the top of the blower firmly with your left hand. Pull the starter knob slowly until you feel it engage. Repeatedly give the backpack blower starter knob vigorous, strong pulls. Once the engine is running, gradually open the choke, if it was set to closed. Let the engine run at idle speed for a minute to warm up. To shut down the engine, move the throttle lever to the idling position and press the stop switch.
