I agree that I should not put anymore money into this trimmer. The piston/connecting rod, fuel tank, lines, filter, spark plug, intake gasket have all been replaced. Totaling $52.84. I’m done ordering parts for this damn thing! This is another short one. If Take off the rear shroud, & muffler, spread compound , and re-assemble. Nothing worth filming this time. The cold start video will be made Monday afternoon, & posted Tuesday morning.

yeah dont put money into it buy a new or used commercial one and it will last you just about youre whole life if you take care of it, those crappy ones really arent made to fix there held together with plastic and shit where commercial one are made to be taken apart vs that one thats cheap and you just trash it and buy a new one every spring,

MrMoterKid tells me that smoke is normal from 2 cycle engines. Until then I had not known that.

Not bad for a trimmer that’s 13 years old!

It came as a surprise that the compression has risen to 100psi from 85! I ran the test 4 times to make sure the gauge was correct.

The starter assembly is the only part that I haven’t touched.

  11. MrMoterKid says:

You’ve done almost a full rebuild on that! Most people wouldn’t think twice about doing that! Except maybe on a slightly more expensive one. But its worth it whatever brand you do it on!
