Hope you enjoy our little homemade video of my Fathers new wood splitter. He’s been burning wood for a long time and loves the heat (even though he hauls propane for a living) He rented and borrowed splitters for prolly 25 years or more. We found out about the DR Rapid-fire in a magazine add and then checked them out online. They have lots of good informative videos but I figured if your like me you like to see things at working for the homeowner not just the salesman I just shot alittle here and there the first 2 days we had it and used that to make up this little video. We were splitting some real nasty stuff and I think the statements and claims made by the company are accurate. In a nutshell, the same person that holds the log should hold the handle. It is fast. It will hurt you if you put your hand in front of the log on its way toward the wedge duhh. but if you respect it, it will respect you. If you want something slow and boring and ultra safe, get one of those things from Northern tool that has 2 long handles that you work back and forth to split the log. thanks for watching, respectful comments welcomed!
